• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My MX track as the build progresses

Wow, that amazing, you've got a field and you can build your own MX track in it! Went yesterday to try and find an MX track that had a small kart track next to it. Well, the land had been sold a developed for housing.. City living here. I like the idea of copying a track. Was even thinking PS3 game tracks or similar. Local kids would love that.

thanks guys. the pic i posted earlier is a lil differnt lookin now. the two closest jumps are done now and cleaned up, and built another that woudl be out of the pic anyway but i have an actual circuit now thats ridable. im guesin between 1/4 and 3/8 mile long rite now. not done by no means but at least theres a loop to play on now.

The dirt looks perfect! All you gotta do now is keep logging air time .... Open and close the clickers on the forks .... You should be able to feel the difference on the jump faces and landings ...

it was pretty decent sunday, i worked the corners and smoothed the ruts out...i kinda like a clean track if i have a choice hahaha im probably just spoiling myself. but ya the track was pretty nice got a lil dusty toward the end and now its been raining steady since last night so its goin to be awhile again before we get to get back on er....

no new track pics but its bigger alot bigger. 3/4 -1 1/4 mile im guessing. slapped some straw bails in the corners so they stop gettin shorter and shorter. its turned into a pretty fun but demanding track. not so much from huge jumps but thers a number of turns and sandy areas that keep you workin. there are a number of jumps dont want to sound like there isnt jsut nothing stupid big yet. still a ongoing project. i need to get a vid of this thing one of theese days...

track maintenance today on some of the jumps we need some rain to hold this stuff together better...its like raking babypowder

Keep planting those snacks for the deer! I used to kill dandies on our property every year, then I got the motorcycle bug, didn't plant anything, and haven't seen a good buck in two years. My bad obviously, sounds like you're thinking ahead. Keep it up!
