• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

My TE630 has arrived at the dealer!

Here's the promo with BMW financing at 3.99%, zero down, 60mo, for first-tier buyers. You do need to have an auto loan in your history to qualify. We already had an account with BMW NA Bank from wifey's 325 'vertible.

I got the same deal on my SMS, I was going to put 2K down, but the most they would let me was 1k. I've never had an auto loan, but I do have a mortgage.
My payments are $99/mo

I don't know why they're still showing the msrp at $8999, but the list price was dropped $2500 to blow them out. I guess they brought a bunch into the US and sales didn't take off. Seems all of the stupid pro ride reports are with the bike in stock tune so they get panned a bit. Dummies. Also the TE450 sells 10 to 1 of 630's, which stands to reason. Most buyers are wanting a true lightweight trailbike so 450/449/510/511 sell well. The dualsport segment has lots of offerings and a lot fewer riders. I also heard a new TE650 is coming with the BMW single in it (barf), and a 900/950. So they wanted to move the 630's. Fine with me, it's exactly what I wanted.

There are also cash-backs to dealers on the other models, pretty much all of them. The best buy in the line up is the 250. Fewer buyers for those as well. But who else makes a racing four stroke with a street license??? I should'a bought 2 bikes!!
