• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New Husky Picture Gallery and press release.

Husaberg had street licenced models so we might see them again. With a rich plated DB history (many bought huskys because of the plate) they might be silly not to offer them with the plate. That a the new owner saying SMR's are coming makes me think we will see plated versions.

Ktms's SMR isn't plated. Hopefully the husky will be though

I would be happy to see a 4T big bore single Husqvarna Adventure bike, like the KTM 640 Adventure. (I am not an engineer, but I don't see a trellis frame like the 690's being any good for a true off road bike?) Bring back the Adventure platform with a fuel tank between the knees with a 200+ mile range and I think they would sell like hot cakes. Not considering the price tags, I would buy another TE 630 when the time came (if that were possible), but I wouldn't buy a KTM 690 because of the frame/fuel tank, or the big v-twin Adventure because I wouldn't want to deal with the extra weight and imo, overkill power. Drop the 690 mill in a revised 640 frame with the new back to the future color scheme and it would be a winner.

Husaberg, hasn't had a bike, with a plate in the US since 2011. I would be happily surprised to see something other than the 690, but I'm not holding my breath.

KTM makes dual sports You could change the colors The new Husky now only makes race bikes more people working on one project equals
a better dirt bike

I am glad I have taken good care of my 09TE450. Looks Like I may qualify as a vintage rider before I get rid of it...or am able to find a replacement that I can afford that fits my needs...
I guess KTM will become the AMA National Dual Sport Series Sponsor again- since they will have the monopoly on dual sport bikes with race capability/quality.
I will continue to represent.

Then again- I am completely surprised to see a whole line up of 4t and 2t's whether rebadged or redesigned. I know nothing of these bikes. I do like the new colors/ old colors...
Like I said though- surprised they have completely changed the line up already- they did alot of work!!!. To have also gotten all the crap organized to make licensed bikes would have been surprising.
I can completely respect the "all race bike" focus. I am just whining cause I need a plate and am not a racer. If I wanted to race- I'd have to drive out of state every weekend. Things have just gone "dualsport" here because its easier to organize. Maybe in 2016 they'll offer a plated FE450 and I'll be ready to let go of my 09TE450 till then I am happy with my Red and White Cagiva- (just works so well for me). If not in 2019 I'll get a nice custom set of Red/White/Green decals- hope they aren't holding the bike together at that point. If/as you all eventually go yellow blue white I hope I don't become the red headed step brother.
