• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Sweet! EE Sparky is a very nice piece. I pop my screen out periodically, but it's never been close to plugged. Enjoy that bike!

No, tell us more grandpa :)

nice  F-in kids these days.

Did a 4 day ride last year, I'm almost 50 and everyone else in the group was about 35. They are drinking like fish the evening before a big ride and getting pretty silly. I decided to leave the group and get and ice cream cone and walk around the very cool town we were in. When I came back they were all drunk and pointing at me and giggling with the next table over. When I walked up they said "do we have to go now dad?" Very flipping funny. :>) The next day I outrode all of them pussies. Whos laughing now asshats he he he

Gotta Love It!
I'm 55 and still consider myself slow. Always have since about 20 when youv'e done enough damage to yourself already that finally knowing what "hotdogging" did for you causes reality to set in. I didn't ride for awhile back in the mid eighties and then I rode and raced quads on the flattrack and TT for about 6 years at the Lodi Cycle Bowl. I still think I'm slow on a 2 wheeler and really only like trail riding.

I have to laugh though when the younger guys go past you thinking their the wheelie king it cracks me up because the rest of the day they are all over the place on the desert single and 2 tracks and they end up worn out, can't keep up. Saying " I thought you said we weren't ever going to be more than a few miles or 10 minutes away from the truck". By the end of the day their stuff is all messed up on their bikes, jerseys and other clothing torn up from the scrub brush and cactus thorns through their gloves and fingers, (PaloVerde tree thorns will go all the way through their fingers and hands to name just one thorny SOB you should avoid) and they are usually pretty messed up too from crashing and so on.

I still think I'm slow though.

Changed out my 5.4Kg spring for a 5.7kg....

Added some Pro-Tapers with Factory KTM bend...

Enduro Engineering spark arrestor.....

And Enduro Engineering clutch slave guard...

I also installed the EE radiator guards, but didn't like the fit.... so I pulled them back off. So I ordered a pair of Bullet Proof guards from Slavens!

:D

Almost forgot..... Installed a JD jet kit

#38 pilot
AS @ 2 turns
Red needle #4
162 main
Currently at see level.... I'll most likely move to the Blue needle #2 when I head up to 3000-6000 ft. 50:1 premix.

Runs much better.... just ever so slightly rich at 1/4 throttle, cleans up by 1/2 and still haven't opened her up yet, but I expect she be fine!

;)

Nice bike Hrdrokn. I just run the stock exhaust, same as yours. My bike is road registered, and I ride in the bush (forrest/ woods) every chance I get.
My bike has 1250km on it now and I haven't started any fires yet :).
I live in Australia though, and we need bushfires.

I haven't had a spark arrestor on a bike since 1980 I rekon (ct 70 dax) ive never started a fire (by bike) all my bikes are straight core pipes, only every seen flames out a pipe on fourbangers
