As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

The 610 was no light weight and never intended as a competiton enduro bike so it should be no surprise that the the 630 would be any different. If you want a dirt bike with a lincense plate then the 450/510 are the machines that should be looking at, the 610/630 are squarely aimed at guys like me who want to ride 75 miles of hwy to the trail, spend some time off roading in a fast paced but non competitive enviroment then ride back home. To that end the the 610 and now the 630 are probably the best bikes on the planet, frankly I'm gateful that they didn't ruin the bike by trying to make it into something different.![]()

The new 630 is nice looking. Thankfully, they stopped with the white frame paint.
Does anyone have a guess about the new engine's durability?
I noticed compression went from 11:1 with the 610 SOHC to 12.4:1 with the 630 DOHC.
Also noticed rear brake disc got bigger, but fuel tank got smaller.

Older 610's show 3.3 gal tank. New 630 shows 3.17. Could be my spec source. About the same regardless.
I was in a showroom recently looking at some '09 Huskys and saw white frame paint, but it must have been on a 510? I looked at a 610 in the lineup, also. Brain fart, I guess.
All I know is white frame paint is wrong.
Hope the 630 is as reliable/durable. We'll find out soon enough.
