• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

New thread to share Strada custom looks/mods/idea's - post up!

Im done! I think... Strada front fender installed on my 2014 Husqvarna Terra. However, I need some help. I tried ordering all the necessary parts but am missing the support for the right side. If you look at photos of the stock Strada there is an aluminum support coming from the bottom of the fork that attaches to the back plastic support on the new fender. I tried the dealer and looked at all the parts catalogs. It doesnt appear there is a part number for the support. My question to Strada owners, is this a separate piece or integral to the bottom of the right fork? My last option may be to fabricate my own, which has been done by another subscriber and looks pretty good! Please let me know. Thanks.

Second picture is my Terra with a Strada fender. Made that piece from a 3/16 × 3/4 inch of aluminum flatbar with a 180 degree twist and two 1/4 inch holes.

This wasn't my idea initially. I got it from another forum member (sorry guy I can't remember who!). I bought a used KLR windscreen on eBay for $15. I cut and trimmed until it fit.

Great. I ordered a piece of 3/4 x 1/4 inch aluminum flatbar hoping it will work. A bit concerned about threading the piece on the top side but ordered 24" in case I have to take a couple tries at it...! Thanks for the info.

Just some notes from the peanut gallery on the front fenders:

1) the white Stratus front fender looks cheesy for a Supermoto deluxe bike imo (maybe it's the color...?), BUT

2) the raised high fender may have a problem blocking the radiator, like the BMW F650 GS which ALWAYS had a constant problem overheating. BMW actually figured that one out, to my surprise.

Just some observations: damned if you do and damned if you don't. They all look fantastic though. Good work guys!

She looks good in black, so don't hesitate

Looking back through this thread, this was one of my favorites on CafeHusky! Too bad she was stolen in NYC.

Nice wheels, is that a 17 up front? What rims and tires? Do you have ABS
Yeah it's a 17 up front. I sent the hubs from a Terra to Woody's Wheel Works and had them laced up to excel rims. I'm running Pirelli Rosso II, 120/70-17 front and 150/60-17 rear. The bike does have ABS and it works fine with the 17 front. If I were to do it again I'd go with a 4.5 inch wide rim instead of 4.25 rear and go with a 160 tire. I purchased the rear hub new and got a complete Terra front wheel from Halls. I had the hubs powder coated red, installed new bearings and shipped them off to Woodys. This all started because I was not happy with tire choices that were available for the Strada's original wheels. I ride 99% street and I was pushing the original tires to their limits. Next up is the suspension.

Very nice! I like the red...

Thanks, was parked next to my brother-in-law's street triple with red wheels and thought that would look good on the Strada. I started having my doubts while waiting on them to show up but once they arrived and I had mounted them all was good.
