• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Dude...I don't think I can afford to be your friend...you're going to cost me some money, aren't you??

We're looking forward to see you again, too

A friend of Mine (Mitch) who was with us last year went over last week (Tuesday) only to find out that East Fort Rock was closed due to Fire Danger ? I think once we get closer it would be prudent to call ahead and find out.... I heard of a fire in Sisters ? I believe but didn't know they would shut all the riding areas down, I guess it's pretty dry...

Kevin

Just called the OHV hotline 541-383-4010 and right now all Motorized travel on OHV trails in Central Oregon is closed... except for 2 around bend....

I know we're still a month out though

That part of the state is actually pretty green for this time of year. We just drove through last week and got rained on (heavy) around Burns.

Hoping to make this one and participate more this year than last. Still up in the air but hopeful. May bring the daughter on the crf150. Should be fun!

Pic or bike ? Malibu Fire a few years ago.

Bike is almost ready to go... for this ride.

View attachment 10940May I ask is this a DS or a DB ride ? I would like to run my TC rear fender with nothing hanging on
it...
Mostly off-road, with an option to hit some gravel roads if you are set up for DS. Many miles of trails without ever venturing onto the roads so a DS setup is entirely optional.

Give me a list of the top three most want to try one out Husqvarna model bikes ,any way we can set up a 2-4 mile loop that is safe and organized so we can make sure everyone gets a turn "safely",because if the 2012 TXC310 is at the top of the list I better start stashing one ASAP.billf /PS cant believe there is one still here?

Believe it or not I've never ridden a WR 250. But there should be plenty of those around. Looking forward to meeting you only spoken with you on the phone ... Bought an 04 CR 125 from you a couple of years ago..

My votes would be for the 310, 125 and 449/511.
The 43 and 44 trails aren't ridden as much as the other trails near the 25 Staging Area and would be one possibility for a test loop.
