• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

You can ride Eric's if you want! Don't you have a 168 or something-or-other? You guys could switch :D

I'd love a ride on a 449, as my KTM is getting long in the tooth and might need to be replaced someday. Eric really wants to ride a 510 (or 511) if anyone's willing to let him steal a ride.
 
there will be several 449/511's there including mine, your more than welcome to try.

great bike but is going to be way to tall for you stock. More than welcome to try mine.

As far as new stuff goes add my vote to TXC310 and maybe the WR125/144...just for fun. If the '12 TXC511 is in then trying the revised suspension would be interesting .... I may want to buy the progressive rear spring.

As far as sharing goes, my TXC511, TE250 and WR300 are all available...and the WR300 is for sale in case 1 ride isnt enough for you :-)

Hey there IonEater, go get Fitness2go, throw your bikes in the truck and get down there. My brother Nick and I are planning on making this ride. We missed it last year and we have'nt seen anybody since the '09 Baja trip. WC and Eric, you guys, and the rest of the GNW guys will be great to meet and ride with. Plus was'nt it you telling us about all the good GNW beer?
 
I have access to a small trailer can haul a couple of bikes from Salem if need be. I'm leaving Thursday afternoon and coming back Sunday afternoon.

Kelly, if you get a chance to ride either or? Let me know what you think of both bikes.
 
Our friend is going to come along. He doesn't ride a Husky, but is passionate about riding and that's what counts right?!! He is the owner of Trail tech, so he could maybe answer questions and stuff like that. But really he is coming just to ride!!! :)

What a great time this is going to be!

Hi. We haven't met, but I'm a friend of Woodschick's. I'll be there with an '04 ECO300 GasGas...some seat time exchange is quite possible.

Or a 2012 TE250 - want to take a test ride on the smaller bike (check the geometry).

Or better yet - ride Nicks 511 practice bike :)
