• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Now that you bought the TR650 - where ya gonna go?

Did the 484 mi Cascade Loop Ride in Washington State. If you can tolerate the non-Terra stuff, feel free to visit my blog for the ride report here: http://charlessk.wordpress.com/motorcyle-stuff/cascade-loop-ride/

Read your Blog 250, great stuff. As a boy our family spent every Memorial Day weekend at Early Winters before Old Man Jack passed away and it was sold to a more commercial outfit. Brings back great memories. Good on Ya for hitting that BBQ joint too! I love that place! See ya on the road.

I have enjoyed your posts very much, H1, and you shamed me into posting this one. Can't beat father-son adventures. Spent last Sunday with my other son on his new KTM 350 and me with my TE-250 riding trails.

The Early Winters Campground where we stayed near Mazama is now a Forest Service campground. It was open for campers but they were not collecting the campsite fees yet. We didn't feel cheated :).

That's great! I feel so lucky to get to ride with my Dad and Brother all the time. Speaking of Father Son adventures, My Dad, Brother and I are going to do a 10 day Idaho/Montana ride through the Bitterroot and Sawtooth mountains in early August. We're going to ride 80%+ off-pavement and fly fish as many rivers as possible. I can't wait to use the Terra for this trip!

I don't know if you ride over the Olympics ever, but the snow is melted now and you can get over to Humptulips/Quinault out of Hoodsport via FR23 and 22. It'd be a great trip on the Terra and KLR...

That will work.
Just wish our system would work better to show them.

That needs to be posted on advrider. That's a front page pic for sure. Need to get the Terra on the ADVrider front page !

Thank you. I can't remember if I posted it there or not. I may have referenced a post to Café Husky. I'll check.

UPDATE: I posted it on ADVrider as suggested. http://advrider.com/forums/showpost.php?p=21496350&postcount=2815

I really should have posted it on the "Out and About" thread so others here could find it better. I asked the Moderator and he said it was OK here and I think double posting is a no-no. I don't want to move the posting on this thread since there are many links to it. I am flattered by all the attention and appreciate the kind comments very much.

Man we have some good photographer here...Do we?
Might have to put away the little pocket camera and bring out my 2.5 lb Nikon.
It has been gathering dust lately.
