• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Now that you bought the TR650 - where ya gonna go?

Burgdorf! Dud you go to the hot springs?

We checked out the springs and went into the cabins. We were going to get a cabin and soak, but it was too early to call it a day - so we pushed on to McCall and into the wilds again for the night. But...we ended up having our own hot spring in Stanley. You'll see...:D

Hi! 2 Days ago I finally got my new Terra delivered, and I´m loving it so far
Yesterday I put on SW Motech skid plate and hand guards, easy to mount even for me who is not very mechanical. And they look good aswell. Also put on the original side panniers and the wind shield.
For the weekend I´m going for a solo tour in Sweden, taking it out on the small roads, can´t wait! The trip will be around 1000 km, because I have to be back for the first service next week...

Just returned from Idaho and Montana last night. Awesome trip and a lot of stories to tell. I'll start a RR in the next day or two.

Looking forward to your report. I just returned from the area also. Will try to post some pics. The TR did great.

My brother and I rode the Buffaloe 500 this past weekend. Took the long way down, 120 miles then 160 miles the first day and 170 the second. About 60% gravel the first day and 70% the second. Bike works great but next year I'll keep the roll chart. Not many pictures but big fun, whos says its flat in Indiana!

Ooooohhh I'm in love....
the Terra is the best choice I ever could have made!! It´s fantastic :)

Three days of touring in Sweden was great! Small gravel, grass and tarmac roads in the countryside to the beautiful island of "Öland" and back home. I felt like I could ride anywhere with this bike, no limits on how bad the road can get :D
Before my tour I prepared my new bike with heated grips and SW Motech skid plate, hand guards and crash bars with extra high beam lights. So now it's complete... I think ;)

Next weekend I´m doing a tour to the west coast of Sweden, hope the days until then goes really fast!

Definitely a Terra owner. Same thing has been said by so many TR650 owners.

Are you able to upload a bigger version of your photos? Those thumbnails are too small to see.

Okey, here comes bigger photos :)

Oh, such lovely pics. Hey, I would love to ask a big favor of you Katten. Would you drive around the countryside documenting windmills for me and the others who never get to see em?

All we have is the stupid wind turbine farms for the power grid. I may see a lone small water windmill, but that is it.

I really hate to burden you with driving to such remote locations for the small visual entertainment I may receive, but if I don't ask, the answer is no. ;)

And, here is the tough part, maybe do a topic on windmills here so we can follow easy? On another site, a guy (yeah I said it) has a ride report on different train tunnels, ever so cool.

Unfortunately there is not a lot of windmills in the majority parts of Sweden, but on the Island of "Öland" where I went this weekend there are thousands of them! I only took a few photos, but next time I go there I will take more for you! That won´t happen this year though... but here are the photos of mills I saw this trip!

Well I am also in love with my Strada. Gorgeous pics guys and gals. Got to go on a little 200mile trek this past weekend. Forgot to take more pics. Didnt really want to stop. As soon as I figure out how to post images I will get them up. I was really surprised at how well it handled especially on the rocky trails. Cant wait to get out more before the snow hits.
