  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

O2 sensor 2013 te449

So I found out the 2013 te449 does not come with the jumper for the race map 2 setting. Can I achieve the same results as it by just removing the o2 sensor? I have the jd power surge but did not install it yet and I still have the cat in my stock exhaust but I am leaving it bc I ordered an fmf power core 4 slip on but did not receive it yet, so that will b changed by the end of the week hopefully. Thanks for all the help!

No I took it apart there was nothing there. From what I read its towards the tip of the exhaust and you would have to drill out the rivet screws to get to it

You must have bought it in Cali. I know you can order the jumper for about $12 from a non communist state. You really should get it into map II before bolting on that fmf. Removing the O2 will not work. Map II is less lean than the standard map and a much better place to start with the JD. Tinken had also mentioned good results on late model 449/511 with a BMW map loaded into the stock ecu.

I ordered it from West Virginia and live in NY. Thanks for the help, my local dealer ordered the jumpers but won't be there for a bit. I pm tinker also to get some input on how to go about this. I'm just impatient and hate waiting for parts to arrive lol

It's under the ECU, you can find it by looking at the wiring digram...small piece of wire to jump pin 1 to 2...

did it last weekend...Says Race II Map on the dash...

My 511 is race map 2 and FMF with quiet core insert, my bike has never had a flame out or any issues yet,
Except sometimes it's hard to steer, cause the front wheel won't stay on the ground,,,,oh yea!

Thanks guys.. My local dealer ordered it for me they said should b here this week, ill let you know how it goes. I got the jd powersurge and waiting on the slip on pipe
