• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi.

Can anybody help me find a lead where to buy these items.

It appears most are no longer available.

I'm looking for a commuter kit (top case, alarm, hand guards)

Tried to order this at ktm-parts.com since it was still there when I ordered but later received an email it is no longer available. Was succesful though on the windshield.

Excited on the arrival of my new Strada late next week!

TIA.

Cheers!

How successful on the windshield? I ordered one from ktm-parts on 11/11 and its backordered with no eta. They had no problem charging my card for it though.

Ya I like the OEM windshield too...just wish in was a bit taller...I'm 6' and the wind hits my helmet and makes a little more wind noise than I like.
If you use the search you should find a couple of threads on everyone opinion.

Odd that the wind hits your helmet since it hits me right at neck level, leaving my helmet in clear air while keeping it off my chest. Just what I wanted. My height is just under 5' 10".

Thank you all for the assistance.

I have now an original handguard, windshield and lately a set of side panniers installed on my Strada.

I have problem though on the re-installation of the oem rear top rack when I had the original side panniers installed.

Can someone share how did you fix this issue?

Plan on putting a SW Motech Trax Alu box to complete the rear cases.

TIA.
