• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Official Six-Nine Design Axle Block Slider Thread

Yeah it certainly is a wonderful engine ,I have had mine from new in 2005 and have no intention of ever selling it . No other bike has ever given me so much riding joy every time I take it out . The first gen is the one to have, light switch throttle , over twitchy handling , terrible fuel range , only the quality of the suspension keeps you on the thing .. unsanitised bonkers madness .... and I love it .

Wow! Ross Shafer! I just picked up a SM450R, but I also race cyclocross bikes... I have 2 of Paul Sadoff cyclcocross rigs. I think you know that guy pretty well.

Anyways, I will need to order some of these block sliders from you soon.

Howdy Husky Huckers, just dropping in to let y'all know the black axle blocks are gone, still have silver and red. The holiday season is almost upon us, if your bike's been good to you this year, treat it to some new axle block sliders!

feedback for anyone interested. I've had a set of these in red since feburary 2013. The fit and finish is perfect on them, they easily survived and helped in one massive crash (getting hit by a car) and they still look new. Anodizing hasn't faded at all, unlike a lot of the other red parts on my bike (looking at you warp9 wheels).

Would recommend to anyone

Thanks for the great review Brett. I hope you didn't get hurt when that car hit you.

Howzabout and end of the year special on these....reg. price is $125, until the end of the year, come and get 'em for $110 shipping included.

Happy Hot Dang Holidays!

I have 14 red and 3 silver sets left....I've no plan to make more so when they're gone, that's it. Come and get 'em while you can. A set of rears ready to hang on your bike is $125 shipped within the US. Great protection for your bike and they look cool too! Spare pucks are $20 per set ($26 with shipping if not ordered with the axle block slider set).

Yesiree. $25 per set includes shipping, if by chance you want two set it's $45. When you remove the originals be sure and fish the stainless bushing out of the center of the puck and reuse it with the new ones.

Clearing these few sets out: $80 per set shipped within the USA! Please look at the first post in this thread for all the info you need to find out if they'll fit your bike.
