  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

oil filter for 2011 te310

ADHD

Husqvarna
B Class
First post and proud new owner of a 2011 te310. I'm absolutely in love with this bike and it is worlds away from my old DRZ.

Looking online to buy oil filters and so far no luck. I heard somewhere that oil filters for Honda CRF250/450's will fit my bike. Can anyone confirm this for me? Thanks.

yes the honda ones will fit but be were thay are 5mil shorter than the husky one and for sum reason if you put the honda one in and it moves back a few mill it might not pick up oil in the oil housing............. but your bike your risk just for the sake of saving $5.00

Dont think above post is correct ? Hiflow HF116 fits 2011 TE310 ( and all x-lite engines ) as well as Honda CRF 250 s . It is the same Filter .
However I would use genuine at a few $ more for warranty piece of mind .

Thanks for the responses. Sounds like its not worth the risk and its best to stick with the OEM filters.

hf116 is not a ome honda or ome husky filter ..........as the post said does a honda filter fit yes and as measured it is smaller than the ome husky filter

ps..i have 2 filters hear 1 ome honda and 1ome husky and there is a 5mil size diff

Not going to argue !!! I know Hi Flo is not OEM , but they are well know aftermarket brand . HF 116 is there filter for TE310 (011) , and fits !

Its is also listed for CRF 250 and fits !!!

Been using the hf116 since new. The wave spring under the filter is providing plenty of force to hold the filter in its place. No worries. Very convenient because my daughter's crf150r uses the same hf.

Edit: I'm on a 2010 txc 250, not a 2011 310 FWIW.

HiFlo 116 measures 1.390" long.
Husqvarna 8000A7019 measures 1.350" long. I prefer the OEM.

The new x-lite motor uses a different filter than the rest of the line.

HiFlo 563 and Husqvarna 8000 B0593 would be for a 450/510 or older 250/310.
