• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK eleven years if marriage and I finally got a good gift!!! what did you get motorcycle related???

I don't have a wife/girlfriend, but I have a brother :D . He bought me this headlamp:

He said that it can be useful when I'm servicing the 610, in order to see well and have the hands free.
I've tested it today (while servicing the lawn-mower) and it's useful indeed.

I got hooked up with some Fastway F3 pegs, some new goggles, and a +15mm Hammerhead shifter tip to accommodate for my size 12 boot. I'm really impressed the new pegs and where they position my feet.

Does a Garmin GPS count? Oh yeah almost forgot the Thor tool belt. I keep tellin her its not a FANNY PACK! And last but not least a Motion pro chain alignment tool.

The ol'lady came through again! Came home from riding friday and there was new Thor Jersey and over the boot pants! She said she couldn't pass up the deal. 150.00 for 67.00 out the door!

Happy for you guys that have supportive wife's and girl friends. Me, I have a bad picker so I would not be as lucky. (as of late that is) besides I can mount any of the bikes I own and the others don't get mad or even jealous:lol: .

My husband got me a Powerdynamo electronic ignition and a wiring harness. Maybe I'll get lights for my birthday.

Forgive me for going off topic here... A d.i.v.o.r.c.e.d guy here and no legal 'wife' .... Plus I'm also Santa Claus ... Not sure how or why or when I reached such a lofty title and I'm not the real, real Santa... I'd guess, at best, only a small-time Santa emulator really...

We'll skip Dec 25th details and move on to the New Years' party. I invested ~$20 in low grade, safe-as-possible-fireworks and bubble makers; Then rode out into the provinces and gave it out to the kids there and watched them play. It was like the superbowl halftime for them. The adults at each stop-off got a fifth of rum and Santa got a few more shots than he needed before he rode home, again, after dark. It was real and magical and I'm glad I made it home. Maybe I can build off this next year and actually plan something and spread more joy and good-will here for the young ones here using, American, country-white-boy style. With a dash of Husqvarna mixed in, of course. And no real pics of this action ... It's just not prime time type entertainment.

I got her a Foo Fighters concert ticket and we are staying in a suite at the Hilton after the concert.
I got a nose hair trimmer!
It's the last time I ever get her anything good.

I forgot to mention that she also got me two pairs of shorts, that were way too small. So not only do I have a nose hair issue, she also telling me I'm fat!

Ha ha all good!!! Anyways I couldn't resist dam new tc was in my living room it was 5 above and I pushed it outside fired it up and did a fifteen minute run....did I mention never on glare ice remove one hand from the handlebars to remove your reading glasses and slightly crack the throttle. Five minutes and the bike already went down and my glasses were lost!!! Lol...went over some logs and some small singletrack in the yard....I can't wait....happy new year to everyone****************************************!

For the ones who got nose-hair trimmers (I got one once also), there might be a not-so-hidden message there and it might be time to look in the mirror again ... Growing older creates new things to deal with such as hair growing all over.. ears, noses, necks, backs... Sometimes, as bad as it is, you gotta check the mirror :(

The In-laws gave me some new goggles. The wife told me to go get a new KTM with the tax return. Yay love is grand, lol
Just buy a Husqvarna and peel the KTM decals off! Awesome way to spend a tax return!! I'm self employed and typically pay in.....bummer

My girlfriend got me this nice little center stand. I'm also still waiting on 3 more husqvarna "pieces" that are coming from far away she says. Makes me wonder.

I got a nice Giant Loop tank bag and 3 sets of riding pants/jerseys... man I musta done something right but I can't figure what it was to repeat.

Anyway, yeah first time she hit the nail on the head and she did it real good.
