As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
[/quote]Nice! Digging your setup Fab. Black looks cool and that windshield is killer. Looking forward to hearing how that works. Cheers! P.S. you holding out for the "right" skidplate too?
ScottinAZ, can I request a pic of the Terra next to a saguaro? I love that country down there and envy the above ride. I think I want to somewhat duplicate it here in Colorado and also post the drastic change in climate change within an hour. The weather here may be too harsh now, but we will see. I have ridden the road from Tuscan to the top of Mount Lemmon and that was also a dramatic climate change....but only in about 15 minutes. I have only street ridden in AZ. I can't imagine how fantastic the off road riding is there.

FabOneUp, your picture of the Terra near a saguaro is "sort of" there..
It really is all about what you wear. I have a great snowmobile suit that I use. Got rid of the sleds, but kept the suit for just such occasions. Ski goggles that won't fog are a must also. You lot in the States are nuts! I've never seen snow like that and many of us stop riding when it gets below 10 or 12C (around 50F) but then I know I'm not really set up for the cold.
Great point. And it is about the time of year when the cold weather clothing might be at reduced prices at sled & ski shops. It really is all about what you wear. 50% Off at Big D Motorsports! They are our local Arctic Cat snowmobile dealer. They are clearing out snowmobile gear and making room for Husky ride gear. I would imagine all sled dealers are similar.Great point. And it is about the time of year when the cold weather clothing might be at reduced prices at sled & ski shops.
END OF THE ROAD!
