• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Out and About (Terra, Strada)

 Well I guess I'm gonna have to go find a heard of Rabbits, Dogs...or Turtles... Something! If this thread is heading in THAT direction.

Thought I go out looking for some wild life today. Saw some deer but not quick enough with the camera.
So this is all I got...:lol:

Just out for another scoot near home today. (outer fringe of Melbourne) Finally found a mob of kangaroos who weren't totally scared by the bike engine and hung around to watch for long enough for me to get some pics. Never mind cars... on adventure bikes these guys are the greatest threat to motorcyclists. Unpredictable and prone to bounding onto roads right infront of vehicles or commonly into the side of vehicles.

I just can't get over this bike. The more I ride it the more I love it. Only 1500km on the clock so far, but getting plenty of use.

Those roos look like wild turkeys from that distance thats what we have in the states!

150 beautiful miles today in middle TN. Lick creek, Primm Springs, TN. Jackson Falls, Natchez trace Parkway Shady Grove, TN. I would have rode the 650 down to the falls. But the park rangers would have frowned upon that! The Natchez Trace Parkway is a beautiful ride starting in Nashville, TN and ending in Natchez MS, closed to commercial traffic, so lots of bikes and history along the way including Lewis and Clark. Oh yes, the front tire sucks off road!
Back to the bat cave with a sore butt! The kayak is a Dagger RPM I had lots of fun on the Ocoee river in that vessel! Location of the 1996 whitewater Olympics.

I just love waterfalls. Great picture.
Thank you. That gorge is deeper than the photos depict. I estimate it is at least 500 feet deep, i rode as far as i could on the 650, the rest of the foot-trail is worse than any enduro i ever rode in, the way down is straight with rock ledges and roots,I didn't walk to the bottom because i didn't have 30 extra min. Very nasty!. If i had my 98 KTM 250 that i geared down for woods riding and about ten years back, i might would hit it!

Saw my second Terra/Strada in person Saturday. Turned down Barrows into Progress Ridge shopping center. Had to take a detour to check it out. Made my daughter think we were going to the toy store. Sorry, Soph just had to look at that bike. Thought it was a Terra, until I saw the cast wheels, must have did the Terra to Strada plastic change. Made me think, got to get the SV posted on Craigslist.....
