  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

oversized tank

I don't know about a TXC 250 but the only choice for 2008 and up is the IMS unit. Search here or google a combination of 2008 or 2009 Husky and IMS. Since the bikes all look the same you'll get an idea. Unfortunately I think the IMS tank looks ugly as you can't use shrouds.

Im pretty sure there are shrouds on the tank in some of these pics that Glangston posted.

Yes there are but he had to rig them up the best he could to get them on there.IMS does not mold the mounting nuts in the tank to fasten them any more. It's a shame because that tank looks like S***!The lack of options for the new model huskies will be my reason for not buying one! This next year I will go orange if something doesn't happen fast.:censored:

Go ahead buy one they are going to need some customers when Husky gets done with them.

Hey I have a TE 450 and an SM610,I love them both but parts and availability do not compare.I also have 950 adventure and an smr525.Let's be real,KTM has at least a decade lead and I am running out of patience.:banghead:

When it comes to aftermarket parts, what do we need other than a skid plate, radiator guards and replacement exhaust (not including a larger tank as Husky should have that as standard)? KTM has more bling available, who cares? What else is missing?
