• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Parts adapted from BMW G650X Challenge for Husqvarna Terra

Rulyx Crossman

Husqvarna
AA Class
Hi everyone,

Looking the other day, and comparing photos of the BMW G650X Challenge with our Husqvarna TR 650 Terra, I have seen many pieces and parts are very similar. I thought it makes sense that match many spare parts as they are similar in many BMW models.

Has anyone tried to adapt, for example, Pretector Radiator BMW X Challenge to the TR650? The design is very good. Has inclined fins are shorter in the middle to let the air and also protect some of the mud with those fins inclined at an angle.

Also these shaped orifices leave slots front fender better cool the motorcycle.

I've also been looking at that you can adjust the chain guard X Challenge.

Great idea but I doubt there is enough clearance between the guard and radiator for this..

I know, but I think if you can create a radiator guard based on the same idea of fins or blanks with the curved shape where the fins of the left and right ends are more inclined and more lakes. I'll try to make a 3D model and see it costs to make 3D printing copies in plastic.

Something like on the photo and similar to the BMW X Challenge12309191_1741262189430770_2089240066_n.jpg
