• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

PC Plastic "Clean up" Kit

WestCoast

Husqvarna
AA Class
OK I rounded up the 3 pieces ; All 3 are in decent shape - so making a mold should be "do able".

I know of 2 options. Maier or DC Plastic. Injection molding probably not goin' to happen.

Any input appreciated.

Can anyone lay there hands on a "Supercross Number Plate" ?

or provide a vendor's name / number ?

and ... I need a square "Pro Circuit" sticker.

I would like to see the side panels in black like your old CR430 with the white rear fender that would look cool, Great photos, Thanks for sharing

DC has in the past with advance notice, made any panel they make in any color they stock.....so unless Tom says otherwise...I would assume that is true still.
They already make several old scholl giant # front plates that us old farts remember (They make this in several colors)

Or the good old JT replica with the tab ears you wrapped around your crosbar pad!

And even the good old stock 1983-1984 Husky "Stocker"

We can make them both for you. Don said you would need to take 8 sets in order to pay for the molds. Maier can probably make them as well, but I believe their mold fees are substantially higher.

Tom - I would be interested in a set in Black - side covers and rear fender with numberplates. Count me in if the cost is reasonable.

Black is cool,,, But have you ever seen / touched black plastic body work done with vacuum forming ?
Not pretty - I sent my back !
IIRC - Something about the impurities in the black stock sheet .

I have a black 1980 fender from DC... it's ok......would expect similar... I want basic usable black plastic...

also most of the rear fender is going to be covered with a background and numbers...

I would be all over the side panels and rear fender in white. What are these going to cost? Oh and I would need them shipped to Vancouver Canada....

I want some ! If they will fit my '84 CR500 without too much modification , that is . White would work for me or even white fender and black side panels . $.$$ ?

Just off the top of my head, if we do them the rear fender would be $54.95 and the side panels $64.95 for the pair. Black, white, translucent, red, etc would be no problem.

ok Tom ... with all posts in here it looks like we have around nine sets spoken for...is that enough to get you going?

WestCoast are you providing the samples?
