Haha, I believe Zip-ty is. We do have full dyno services now too.Let me guess, Ty Davis is now a Dyno Jet dealer...
I would of responded earlier, but I have been mobile all day. I have been thinking about the ecu on the 449/511 platform and I have come to the conclusion that I don't believe it is the maps that are the issue as much as I think the Keihin ecu is just faulty. I don't believe that any map change from BMW or Husqvarna could of solved the flame out issues. The JD unit is an awesome unit, definitely the best bang for the $$ and can lessen the poor performance from the stock ecu, but because it amplifies a signal coming from a faulty ecu unit it too will not be 100% as reliable as swapping out the entire ecu like adding a PCV.
So should you use an Autotune with your PCV? If you can afford to, then yes. What Ty did on the race bikes, 511 and the 310's, is he built the map on location using the auto tune and then removed it for racing. You also have the option for dual maps, so you can switch between Autotune and map2. Is it worth the money? Dyno services typically cost around the same money, so yes, it's definitely worth it.
I will ask Ty for his racing maps for the 511 and 310s and permission to give out to CH members.
