• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

Although I haven't quit recovered from an ankle injury I got last time I rode my RMX I took the Husky out for a spin today. Ankle is tender tonight but it was worth it.

I cut together some video too.

Beautiful part of the world there. Your second photo looks like it was within a few metres of where (an orange coloured brand) did their "freeride" MTB journalist day. The Husky eats that terrain up nicely.

Did a little bit of dualsporting last weekend in the Sierra...

I'm loving my Heidenaus!

Woodschick,

This may be a stupid question but did you intend on having your muffler tip on upside-down? What a great picture btw!!!

Thanks,

Eric

Hah! I bought it used and that's the way it was, but I've seen a few other ones that look exactly the same. I dunno :)

It's not upside-down, it's the older muffler like mine with a removable decible-killer and titanium cap, yours is newer and has the riveted on carbon cap.

Lesotho 2012.jpg

Just returned from a week long trip to and in the Southern African country of Lesotho - known as the 'The Mountain Kingdom' it hosts annually the Roof of Africa bike rally, a Red Bull extreme enduro event (this was our final destination but the journey was the adventure).

Picture of my trusty Husky with the Maletsunyane Falls near Semonkong in the background - the falls are the highest single drop falls in Southern Africa at 204m and highest commercial absail/rapel in the World is done from the top.
