• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pics of your 610!

Or the SWM 650R, which is pretty ugly compared to the PR7, but same engine.. i.e. the old Cagiva 610 motor.

I'm hoping either one, or both make it to USA.. I'd put money down in a heartbeat..

I agree mate! Bloody top engine! The SWM owner is the CAGIVA engineer that originally designed the engine and the WR engines for Husky too.

PR7 is sexy. Cant stand the front of the 630 or SWM.

Picked up a New-to-Me 2006 Husqvarna TE610 on Sunday...

Used to have a 2003 KTM 640 Adventure, and while that bike was a great long-distance bike, is really was a pig on single track.

I also had a 2009 Husqvarna TE310, and that bike was phenomenal in tight single track, but completely sucked on the roads in between the good stuff because of the close ratio gearbox.

I think this TE610 will be the perfect fit in between... Light weight, wide ratio gearbox and a nice suspension...

Got it from my brother... A really nice low mile example... 3500 miles...

Looking forward to many fun adventures on this one...

Nice!

But what's the second side stand for?

That is, in fact, a Cigar Mike center stand. Very handy for chain lube and chain adjustment when traveling. Adds a little weight, but for my intended purposes, I'll never notice that and will appreciate the convenience.

Bike is very will set up. It has a Seat Concepts seat, newer model exhaust with heat shield, reinforced subframe, custom racks (not mounted in this picture) for Wolfman bags, Wolfman tank bag, and a couple of other little mods here and there to improve stock functionality of the clutch cable. I also have the improved clutch buttons, which I will install over the winter.

Pretty excited to have a gravel and single track friendly bike again. It compliments the BMW R1150RT nicely.

I envy you fella. The 610 was the bike I was really after when I got my 630- just couldn't find one that was in reasonable condition, and of reasonable mileage/cost. Would have loved that color scheme too. Good get- enjoy!

Here is my 08 SM 610 with 414 miles on it and a brand new Leo Vince X3

I just purchased this bike approximately two weeks ago. There were two other owners between Doug and I. It just rolled over 6k miles, looks about the same, someone added a rack. Here's a crappy cell phone picture.

Got out for about 75 miles late this afternoon. It was a beautiful day to ride...

Short stop at the Waterfowl Resting Area...

And another short stop at Lake Monroe...

Think I'm really going to like this bike...

I'll be interested to see how the Heidenau K60 Scouts do on her...

Only saw street bikes while I was out and about.

Fresh Meat arrived today...

Started spooning them on after dinner tonight...

Left her sitting without shoes tonight so I can take the wheels in to have them balanced in the morning... I really need to invest in a static balancing setup...

Should have a bit more bite and quite a bit better turn in...

Looking forward to taking her for a little rip (hopefully this weekend) to try them out!

Balanced and ready to Rip... Going to need some new front wheel bearings soon... Anybody have Part Numbers or aftermarket equivalents?

She sits a bit taller now with new tread on a 140 rear instead of a really worn 150...

Planning to take her out tomorrow and put her through her paces...

Yes... Heidenau K60 Scouts... Really like them for my intended use - Mostly gravel, some pavement and some non-technical single track...

Spent some time in the garage today...

New front wheel bearings installed...
IMS 5 Gallon Tank Installed...

Tank bag fits nicely too...

Once I get the rear racks mounted up with the Wolfman bags, it should be all set up for some serious adventures...
