• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Went for a nice trip to som old Copper Mines at a place called Løkken Verk south of Trondheim today.

Total of 100 km`s round trip, all on small curvy country roads.

Me and my Husky.

Both bikes almost the same spec, only difference is Stian is running with DB killers in his. The sound is slightly more "muffeled" with the DB killers, mine is a bit sharper soundwice, but both are LOUD.... :)

Fantastic bike to attac curves, gun it and brake late in with...

No NUDA for me, I`m sticking with this one....

Have come to the same conclusion .... until a real alternative pops its head up.

Redback maybe this yella jobbie below will get your juices flowing? For me the TT reincarnation does more for me ... a production model along these lines would be seductive :pHusqvarna-N900-carbon-ilmberger.jpg

Didn`t like the handling or the look of things on the NUDA.. It looks the business, but on closer inspection and after testing it, I don`t approve of it. The 630 SM is far more fun to ride and I am keeping it..

Tomorrow I will remove the passenger footrest and the passenger "grips"... Dont need them and they spoil the looks... :D

I did that as soon as I got mine too, but threw them back on there to give someone a ride. I'm glad I did because I lowsided pretty hard this weekend, and the left passenger peg saved pretty much everything else. Other than it, my peg sliders and my handguards, hardly a scratch on the bike. The left passenger peg was mangled beyond recognition, but i'll take that over new heat shields/body/seat/tank...
I just bought a replacement passenger peg from someone on SMJ.

Hope you're not too banged up!

When I went pavement sliding, I did not have passenger pegs on. My footpeg, handguard and rear axle took all the damage. granted, I have a single exhaust and I went down on the right side. Not sure if my pretty Leo Vince would have been spared in a left side crash.

Right wrist is a little tender, but that's it. No rash. Jacket took a little rash on the left sleeve, but I log-rolled instead of slid and had a backpack on. Went over 5 times, tried to stop myself after 4, that's how my wrist got tweaked.
Pretty lucky, as I was doing about 50 at the time near the front of a line of about 15 supermotos. Bottomed hard on a folded peg, I didn't get off the bike enough for the decreasing radius left. Nice thick grass in the runoff.

Good point!
Anyone who knows if there are any sliders to be installed on the bike? Where to buy and where to mount?

Motostrano has a few sets of axle sliders left, or you can go the threaded rod/skateboard wheel route.
Couldn't find any peg sliders for the 630 so I made my own out of delrin.
You COULD swap in some 510 pegs, there are slider options for them, and they are a bit higher and narrower.
Handguards or bar-end sliders are the other biggie. If you don't want handguards, bar sliders are pretty universal.

Bits and pieces on a bike can be replaced, glad to hear you didn`t get hurt to much. I have one leg that "sleeps" ( is numb ) due to damaged nerves after a crash years ago. Bike total write off, I spent a cuople of weeks in hospital in neurologic ward with a leg that was not working at all, now it works but is numb... pure luck!!

Drive safely guys, keep it on the right side of comfortzone...

Don't forget, the front axle sliders from Motostrano don't fit the TE out of the box. :)

Som modifications performed today, among others the wife has been banned from riding passenger ever after :)

Passenger footpegs, passenger handlebars, snorkel and chain guard removed - and some stickers attached..

Planning on painting heat shields black in the future.

Looks a lot cleaner this way I think...
Skateboard wheels attached on M16 threaded stainless steel rods. All home made...
160mm rear tyre, 5mm gap between chain and tyre wall.

The parts removed....

Now find some stubby LED rear blinkers to replace the floppy stock ones. I kept kicking mine getting on/off, and they dance around like a chihuahua after a pot of coffee...
