Water Crossing

Stroker, PV, that would be at the Miler Canyon T intersection with Pilot Rock. Crossed it on Thursday. I love riding up there. Did a 64 mile loop with my kids for my birthday, what a blast it was just me and my kids. Only ran across 5 other riders all day.

That's it... I remember now, and after seeing all of these other pictures, that DEFINITELY is enough water for me****************************************!!!

for the PNW crew and others, thats the best I could muster from down here in the dry dusty southwest. (I'm sure I posted at least one of this series before). Somewhere in the 3500 foot level near Tecate, Mexico 21MAR09. Since that crossing I've only seen slight moisture in the local dirt and now plenty of dust. R

The Idaho pics look very familiar, but two I'm not 100% sure on a couple.
This one I know I've been on but completely blank on where it is.........

This crossing in Idaho was fine once we got into the actual creek itself..

This one looks like coming back off of Ross Peak and crossing Ross Fork of the Boise........

Please allow me a bit of poetic license on this one Mimi, the picture has a great deal of sentimental value. It was taken just below the summit of Engineer Pass while passing through Colorado on the TAT. We had summited several passes that day before making camp here and sleeping like babies beside the roaring spring melt that night.

The 2 inch deep Cali "creek crossings" are funny.

Shouda been with me as myself and my RMX got towed out by an '87 WR430 back in '93 after a flubbed crossing of a very rapid, icy and swollen Piru Creek (remember El Nino?).... it ate my brand new bike and I got swept and pinned under a ledge. Mikee pulled me out by my chin bar. He was the only one with long enough arms to reach me.

Yes I almost died.....yes everyone was as I had my bike upsidedown for an hour drying my gear, naked and freezing, by a hasitly built fire....

The first one is on the way to Atlanta, but I can't remember if it's Skeleton or Decker Creek Trail. I took the photo a few years ago and there is now a bridge there. I can't remember where the 2nd one was taken, but I do know we were atop Ross Peak that day so you're probably right...lots of good stuff out there. I might be going back for a few weeks this summer...I hope!

Decker Creek.......that's the one I was going brain dead on. Goes down the NW side of Ross Peak toward Atlanta.
Been quite a while since I went down that side of the hill.

(FYI: 2009 Idaho Trail Machine Assoc State Ride, July 15-19 tentatively scheduled out of Baumgartner.....If you do come up this way & see a blue/yel Husky, odds are pretty good, in this area, it's me)

We'll probably be there closer to August, but I really prefer the area in July as it's still green and pretty with wildflowers everywhere.

Here's a few of Big Smoky. I think this is somewhere off of Paradise Creek Trail...or maybe Skillern?...it's all kinda hazy. I know it was somewhere near Snowslide and Vienna Creek on our way to Smiley Creek for lunch...
