• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The Tank graffix and number boards are from an Italian company called Core Deigns(sorry I have no further info in them)my main dealer had them on the shelf. The radiator shrouds, lower & upper fork stickers(alto inc' in the original kit) are of my own design made locally, the rear fender decal is again from my dealer...hope that helps

Everyones huskies are awesome.

Mines so plain in comparison

Oh, hardly! You were right when you said everyones Huskies are awesome:)

That thing is sweet, and it looks very purpose-built. I dig the tank and the lights. I wish my big tank was as slim as yours.

DITTO that too. I've seen a couple like that and it had me thinking about to trying find a '07. I like that tank on there. Wish it would fit the '08.

That’s a nice transformation from clean to dirty… :D
Two things;
  • The darkening of the pipe cover (I think you’ve talked about it before-I’m just getting old…:oldman:) what was it that you’ve used and do you think that it’ll work on the can too so the whole thing is black?
  • Was there a step by step on the Buellefing somewhere that I’ve missed? :excuseme:

Its black power coating on the outside only. It wouldn't work on the can cuz of the heat.

Here's a couple of pics from a saturday ride. Was suposed to ride to some hot springs in NM with 2 friends on friday, but when I called to see if they were ready i got "i dunno know man. have you been outside yet, its really cold." what wussies. So i rode around a little on friday testing to see how cold it was, not bad so I decided i would try to ride to the hot springs on saturday with or without them.

The ol girl ready to go. 27degrees, no worry, just 2 blips and kick and shes purring like a kitten.

A couple of pics from the road. this is just inside NM and in between two twin extinct volcanos. can you say middle of no where?

This seemed like a good spot to stop and turn around. Rio grande below, WAYYYY below.

In the end I only made it about half way there. It's about 80 miles one way, and at about 45 miles in the roads got pretty slick with snow and it was obvious that i would never make it down and back in one day at the pace i was riding. Maybe i shoulda tried this ride sometime before mid December :excuseme::bonk:

Nice bike rumrunner! Everyone knows that the 07's are the best. Do you wear slippers with that powderpuff or what?
