• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

And sitting next to a white picket fence. All we need is a baby and a labrador and you have a slice of Americana.

10 out of 10! Great White Shark!

It looks like you're giving that front tyre some abuse.

Hope your racing gets you a few sponsor's stickers on all that white space bud.:)

Just a couple of our own demo bikes.
Lovely looking 2008 CR 125 and 2010 TE 250.

They say you never forget the first time you fell in love . . .

My first Husky was a 1995 WXC360. I can't find pics now but here are all the other Huskies I have owned over the years. The first pics are scans of prints and the contrast sucks. I have shot digital since 2000 and can't scan if my life depended on it. So those pics are pretty poor quality.

1996 610. Great bike for everything but the tight single track that I ride so much of.

I then purchased a 1999 WR250. Despite the 5 speed I really liked this bike. Probably my most under-appreciated bike.

A couple of my 2000 WR360. I liked my 2005 so much I bought another one. I should have kept one of them . . .

Brand new, on the beach, unloaded for my first internet group ride in NE Washington state and then back home awaiting a wash.

From there I bought a 2004 TE250. To this day I liked that bike better than any of the more recent 250 models. The counterbalanced engine was just so smooth and easy to ride for long periods of time. Though Husky went with Keihin in 2005 and up, the 2004 with Mikuni carburetor with 3 gallon IMS tank equalled almost 100 miles of single track.

From there to a 2006TC 250 with lots of enduro trickery. The bike did overheat a fair amount so I sold it for the 2007 TE450.

I missed the TE gear box so I bought a 2007 TE450.

Next stop a 2008 TE250 with the Athena 300 kit. Awesome bike.

I hope to pick up a 2010 TXC or TE250 in the next couple of months. Time will tell . . .
