• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Pictures of your bikes

mcinfantry,

Are you for real? That night shot of your 610 with the glowing rim stripes is 100% bada$$!! That is hands down the toughest looking 610 I have seen. If I saw that bike in a dark alley I would just throw my lunch money at it and run. Good work.

mcinfantry-

Dude... Your bike is two reflective stickers and a glow stick away from being used as a visual effects prop at a rave!! We may need to do an intervention.

Here is a reflective tape serving suggestion:

Trace out the logo and name on the red plastic and replace it with your tape. I personally think that would look awesome, and you could lose a pound of tape from the other locations! It's a win-win.:D

First day I took the bike out early 2006

Took the bike to the Husky memorial ride - but never unloaded it...

Hey brother, it's your journey! I just felt inclined to bust your chops a little bit.

Just watch out though, because your cause may end up biting you. Around here, idiots are attracted to things that really grab their attention (like moths and other insects are attracted to flame, or a bug light).

Just my .02 (worth more to some, worth less to most)

Here's a couple of the ol girl when she was still pretty new. Been swamped lately and haven't gotten the chance to get out too much. Hopefully this weekend.

thanks for the link.... though

i dont mind you bagging on me. to each his own. i guess i could always add little red anodized aluminum bits all over the bike.... no purpose, looks like shit too.

Not bagging on you at all. I like the look of the bike. Just thought since you were doing it in the name of safety that you might be interested in some tape that lit up rather than just reflecting others lights.

Sounds like an issue has been resolved.

For everyone's viewing enjoyment - this thread can be for pics and maybe a different thread for discussions?

Here's me trying to learn how to jump. (first dirt bike....)

Due to the unexpected outcome of Mudfest '07 (and the bear), Mudfest '08 had been canceled, but Mudfest is like a love affair...sometimes it just happens...

MXRacer,

I really don't mind if you repost that last one. In fact I encourage you to repost it at least once a month, maybe more. Super nice pic. Both very beautiful ladies.
