• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yay! Pictures! My favorite thing!

Here's one of my SM610 taken on a ride in NV. It's my favorite photo of my bike, and yeah I know I don't have a rear wheel on there, but that just adds to the mystery, doesn't it?;)

Hey WoodsChick, at least you can say I rode the wheel off my bike today

Pretty bike but I’ve got to ask; what country do you live in that they let you fold the plate like that...:D

Australia. I suppose it shouldnt be bent like that, But the reason why some of us do it over here is because the number plate could cut into your leg if you come of or if someone runs up the back of you on a trail it could do some damage. If i am ever questioned about it by the law, I will just tell them for that reason (Health and saftey matter)

My plate was breaking all to pieces due to all the offroading when it was mounted on a similar looking rear light and mounting bracket ... I had to tie-wire it together to keep all the pieces ... I carry it now in my airbox :]

Mulao area of Cebu ... Heading south and over the bridge exiting town and left at first fork ....Dry season :)

Trailtech X2, nice bike
Same as on mine ... I've abused mine very much and it still works after ~2 yrs ... Very easy to take on and off bike also ... comes with 2-3 different light options ... Most stock stators run one version and you'll need more watts to run the higher version lights..
