  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

IMG_20170807_144857.jpg Here's a few more recent pics the latest things done to the Husky, swapped the 19" rear for an 18" rear with Motoz extreme hybrid tyre(soft knobbly/trials tyre) & 4mm super heavy duty tube, sculpted more out of the seat just to make it more comfortable & put on a tough non slip seat cover, I have also had the front lowered approx 80 mm & the forks re valved to take out the harshness associated with the marzocchi 48's , this alone has totally changed the handling of the bike & my ability to get it to turn(me being a short-ass) & i would recommend this to anyone who struggles with the overall height of these bikes View attachment 81554

That Q stealth a custom job freejack? Does it make it much quieter? Lose any power/snap?

I bought it off a gas gas dealer who was quitting all his stock after gas gas stopped supplying, new for $150nz was ment for a EC 250/300 & fitted up with almost no mods, a whole lot quieter than the original & noticed no power loss at all, being a trials rider I hate noisy bikes, also has the fmf front, wb165 with rekluse so power is good.

I should add this entire place is just raw and in your face (freedom), except for the people. They want to be gnarly, but they don't really know how :0) ... With dirt bike riding and racing, they can get raw and gnarly ...

Howdy TD and still alive and kicking here .. Still riding my herd of ITL Huskies ....

Hello Ms New MOD, Dirt Dame ... Ain't the world so cool today? I'll add, out with the old. Period.
