  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

I collected the parts for the 300 conversion over a period of several years. The cylinder, piston kit, V-force 3 reeds, and intake boot were all new parts. The head, expansion chamber, newer TMX38, and the power valve parts were all found on ebay and Café Husky.

Yes, I used a gasket on both sides of the reed valve. I remembered reading on here a few years ago when all the guys with the red and white Husqvarna's were having air leaks around the intake boot. Gaskets on both sides of the reed seemed to be the fix.

Here's my new-to-me 2011 WR250

Just acquired this 99 CR250!! ALL original!! Guy bought it from my fathers shop new in 1999!
He gave it to us on trade for work on his sons RM250. Already has an FMF silencer on it. All we’re doing to it is a matching FMF head pipe, a VForce reed block, new plastics/graphics, Renthal handlebars and new ODI grips. I’ll post more pictures once we finish upgrades.

Super Nice 99!!
Looks factory Fresh! Nice work man.

Thanks!! It was left bone stock for years. His son did a couple hare scrambles on it then it sat for many years. Cleaned the carb out, new fluids, and she fired right up! She runs like a bat out of hell!

This was my 92 wr250. Fun bike. Crazy low end. Sold it Because it gave me too many issues and my account for cafe husky just got accepted (been waiting 6 months lol) so I couldn’t ask for help . I traded a riding mower I bought from a scrapper for 25$ for this bike haha. Put yz125 side covers, yz125 rear fender, I’m pretty sure the front mud guard is for an older Yamaha as I know the stock husky one was white and the plastic mold is blue. Drz400 unbreakable clutch and brake levers. Rebuilt tranny putting in all new shift forks, and I was able to Find a new shift drum. Wiseco top end. All in all, cool bike. And fun fact, it’s the 11th 92 wr250 Made:(
