  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

Hi racer726,

bought a 2010 WR125 a few months ago, and wasn't a real fan of the front fender either. Some like to replace the OEM one for a CRF one but I had the feeling that compared to the rest of the bike, the CRF front fender wasn't aggressiv enough so I stared at others dirt bikes and the best fit to me seemed to be the RMZ one (2010-2011). I photoshoped it and here is what it looks like on a CR and WR. All you have to do is to drill 2 new holes and that's it. I did it to mine really and I'm happy with the look and the feeling of it. Don't have a good picture and the bike is not in my garage so I won't be able to show you how it really looks for real, sorry. I won't see the WR until Christmas...
So there it is. Cut the front fender reinforcement and put it on the new fender (as you can see on the last two pics). It helps to drill the new holes...

That does look better. I find the WR front fender drops off too quick. I also have a RM250 and the little longer fender in view gives a little more of a comfortable feeling. Just sayin...
Thanks for the tech tip TMV.

Here is my 09 wr300 on the day after christmas. Riding the Leota loop in Michigan. Great time and the traction was perfect.IMGP0105.JPG

NICE! you bike is my bikes little brother!!
Just be carefull running the dirt disc for SM, they overheat and crack/break off, nasty business when it happens.

Yep! We have a oversize rotor and caliper relo on the way :)

Looks like there is a piece between the top of fender and bottom of triple clamp, is that what's left of the fender reinforcment? Thanks.

Improves the look incredibly
