As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!
Yup.Did you just buy that yesterday?
Yup.
Well, I hadn't planned on buying a bike on Saturday. I had planned to go to the post office, buy some kitty food and go to the lake to take a walk. But the Husqvarna store was on the way to the kitty food store, so I pulled in and had a look. It is not the first time I had a look at the 300 on the floor. As some may know, I was lucky enough to be able to test a WR300 back in September, and I never really was able to stop thinking about it.Dirtdame,
More like Luckydame! That is awesome, congrats. I'm jealous....
Went for a ride Sunday, but it was a short one. Bike is jetted awful, so lean that it is hard to start and has really poor power (plus, that bonking sound makes me cringe!). I was afraid to do much with it, and can't ride it like I know it was designed to be ridden till I get some jetting specs and dial it in. Too bad I didn't make friends with the tech from Husqvarna USA, because the demo bike I rode was jetted perfectly.Feed the cat, and go for a ride

Hadn't planned on it for now, though I might do it after a while. I have the box o' goodies stashed in the front hall. First thing is to jet it and get the proper spring rates for the suspension. Are you going to put the headlight on it?
