  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

I dunno if my two ex-wives would answer if I asked them ... so I'll just say they said you could as well!!! :applause:

Same here. When I WAS married, the wife got worried any time I was home from work late and the trailer was missing from the driveway. "What are you bringing home now?!"

My wife opens the door so the new toy can sleep inside before the first ride. Neeener neeener. 22 years of marriage. Got to pick them right.

I have a 1998 WR360 can you set me up with some plastics and decals for mine, Can't locate any here in the states... Bike looks great

details on fork guards and skid plate? (i need to replace both)

I made them both. Still have one or 2 of those skid plates and they are VERY full coverage even the footpeg lugs. They only fit the 09 and 10 then they changed the frame drastically. Really nice mounting so they dont come loose or rattle. PM me if you want one or both or whatever.

Nice! I had an 02 as well, was a great bike. Sold it to a friend who is on this site and he loved it for years as well. Tough workhorse of a bike.

My first brand new bike was a 98 YZ250. Went to look at the all new 4 stroke WR400 and ended up with this after I saw what pig the 400 was.

Bought a new 02 YZF250 and put in one of the first rekluse clutches and a 20" front wheel and fork sub chambers. That was a great bike as well. Was all Yamaha before I discovered husky.

I just sold my 2002 YZ250 last Friday. Served me well since 2004. I held onto it until I was sure the TE310R I bought last June was the bike for me. Now I am jonesing for a 144/165 to have next to my 310 after reading all the posts on how much fun the little 2-smokers are.

Awesome resurrection! I have an '03 this is seized up and getting ready for the same thing. It will have to wait till my lady gets out of school and I have a few extra dollars. But I LOVE the YZ 250**************************************** Nicely done
