  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

my 05 wre 125 after 9 weeks of being fixed in the garage and a month off the road before that due to a mysterious electrical short. Now it has a new but used gear shaft selector, new rfx lever, new handlebar lights switch, new wheel bearings front and back, new fork seals, brake pads, new ignition barrel [ old one got so full of mud it jammed] and blue handle bar grips. Powervalve now working great [aren't electrical circuits wonderful] and it kicks first time without choke. Went out today and it RIPS! I hill climbed a road here in third and just about snatched 4th before the bend :} Only problem is the throttle cable still works but I want a spare, the one I got sent didn't fit, mine seems to have a quick throttle type set up, does anyone know where to get one that fits?300520141846.jpg300520141844.jpg300520141847.jpgView attachment 41811

Those black handguards are almost invisible on your bike ... What pipe is that?

I was lured out today thinking it had rained and there would be some traction out there somewhere ... Didn't really happen but it was a pretty cool ride ..

First I found this cool road that turned into a trail and it had this unique designed spill-over at this creek... See lots of them here but none quite like this one ...This has almost gotta be water from a natural spring as it is bone dry all around here.

Not 100% sure what he's doing here but maybe he's trying to hold back some water when the creek is at low levels so people will still have fresh water for washing and other purposes ..

Then I went on down to this location and this 75 yr ex-Seaman who lives there, had that cement poured and it is his own design. I told him it was the best design spill-over that I had ever rolled across ... He like that one :)

You can see other cement by the bike that he poured also to keep the road from washing away there.

With this ride and about 3 others short rides, I think I can join them all together into a pretty good trail ride for a few miles.

Stock pipe wth P3 carbon guard on it. The handguards are Enduro Engineering. No need for the elephant ears in the bush I figure.

I guess that P3 emblem tossed me off on the pipe ... If I had enough money, I'd purchase more EE stuff ... Always looks very well constructed to me ...

Nothing to do again but ride the Huskies ... Can't always get blue waters of the Pacific Ocean but these do a pretty good job..

It was a local gran prix in a small town called Caliente in Nevada. Bitching riding there!

Thanks, it looks a lot like much of the riding around here. Thought you might be in the area. Cool pics.
