  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

this came out of the RT fork after the last 25hrs of punishment.....not good. time to call Kelly and get a seal/bush kit!

120/90 MotoZ IT fits nicely....good shape and nice profile, like it better and it's a full 1.5#'s LIGHTER than the 120/100 Generic POS rock-tire i had last, which, served it purpose, a 55$ rock-tire for summer....but man i've been looking forward to premium rubber for a while, esp since winter is coming. oh the clutch snapping and turn burning is a cummin' ladies...

it's a DOT legal stone-spray-sammich server fo sho....so suck on that Dunlop!

barooop!

Shock just flew in from my tuner in SoCal, custom valved and ready to go. So did my fork kits-n-bits, I still have to do those (Motion-Pro's Ringer seal drivers are pretty sweet, get you summa dat!). Few more hours 'n the Porkinator will be happy. If I can scramble it should be a good weekend for a quick BRAOOOOOOOOOOP!

ok---back on topic.

the Porkinator post 100hr service. still 97% box stock.

mods: JD kit, re-valved fork/shock, a rear view mirror, a license plate, patented "p.v. duke t-stat eliminator", XF coolant, Zip-Ty Racing front axle nut & brake pedal, a bent up bash plate, a bent RT radiator and some dents in the pipe.

still has the original chain, sprockets, wheel bearings, even hand grips. always wanted a street legal big bore hard-enduro bike. cruises along nicely at 45mph. this bike continues to impress, got it new for under 5g's. pretty stoked and it's taken beating. barooooooop!

"whats that?" you say over there on the subwoofer? no- you can't have this....well, maybe Dirt Dame can....tee-hee (pitter-patter)

are you still on the original chain/sprockets at 100 hours duke?
yup. keep it clean, dont lube it (just wipe with an oily rag cus its an o-ring chain), that's it. keep that store bought lube-n-glue in a can off of it and they last a good long time. plus it's dry here. PNW doods go through bearings and stuff like socks.

i second the hoorah on the NYCMX post! braaap!

Check where the tank mounts to the frame under the seat, my ims rubbed the strengthening plate until i added a large penny washer.
Enjoy the ride.
