  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

we need to be careful we'r gona scare the hell outa this poor guy:lol: i know a guy how had one scared him so bad he toke up water skiing and he could ride was damn fast to

You guys are awesome I appreciate the teasing. I know its a lot of bike and most likely won't be using first gear.

So yes it has an aftermarket pipe ( FMF ) and a 38mm keihin jetted for 40:1. I just got it running it sounds good and has good compression. I need a new throttle and cable then tires and I can take it out. I been reading post on here for the past year about the bike so I got a good idea of the monster it can become :) . its right up my alley. I'll keep you guys updated on it though. Its going to Oregon sand dunes this summer hopefully. All input from you guys is much appreciated. The community on here seemed great which is why I signed up, that and I now can be a part of it.

Thanks guys

Will do. Not sure if I'll take it I might rent one up there. Its a ways off. I need my throttle cable and cable housing yet, tires and a little cleaning. I'm guessing the kick will be more then my friends xr 650 I rode this winter which took me 15 minutes to get use to. I'm looking forward to it.

A XR650 has definitely a kick but this husky is a puncher in a different league.

A lot of fun but it can also dish out some agony in no time.

I would like the bike just to play and stunt with but probably prefer my 165 for a 5 hours trail ride

Its my first Husky, I drove to S.C. to pick it up last month. Gonna ride with some Buddy's this weekend. This will be my first time back in the dirt in 6 yes. I thought I gave this up till they all started working on me last fall about getting back into it. Didn't really take much to get me wanting the rush again :)
