    WR = 2st Enduro & CR = 2st Cross

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Please post pictures of your 2 stroke bikes.

Camansi had a Fiesta and for entertainment we had a small MX race ... Low budget and really the track was just scrapped :) ... And yes, these type events are used as vote-getters for the local politicians ...

My old 1989 WRK250 is alive. Going through it now, bit by bit.

Unfortunately it has a critical fault. Cracked front axle clamps/fork bottoms :(

Desperately trying to source new bottom leg assy's for these WP 4054 forks.

Also considering a total front swap out if I can't find the legs.

Anyhow, if anyone has or knows where to look for parts to suit this bike I'd appreciate a heads up.

Richo

Top tip.
Definitely something I will avoid. Wish I kept actively looking up WRK250 bikes. Just saw one in Brisbane Aus for sale 3 years ago for $1300. Cheap spares :O

This is from today when I was riding my ~stock 08 WR250 in the flat lands just north of the Danao City, Cebu area... First couple still look pretty native to me ...

Since it is only a mile or so up the road from me, this event almost drew me outside tonight to go see the talent part of the contest ...

DSC_6603.jpgDSC_6603.jpgDSC_6452.jpgDSC_6603.jpgDSC_6452.jpgThe first outing on the 250 WR with the Lectron carb. Put simply the BEST modification I have ever done to any bike. It has turned it from an unloved hard bike to handle ( I had only put 420kms in 3 years ) to the first bike I will now jump on. Thanks Kelly@Motosportz. I got the carb more than a year ago but have only just fitted it. Doh.

Here's a few photos a Hard Enduro I competed in on the weekend.

Hard Enduro? Might be better named Too-Hard of an Enduro for some of us ... Can a person take a penalty and ride around some of those head-high log piles?
