  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

I got about 500 km on my TE449 so far ride amazing but it's my firts bike I don't no much about ,
but I notice a lot of popping/backfiring on decel a specialy on the lower gear, I read a lot on the subject some say it too lean , not much I can do about that by my self , some say it an exhaust leak ,some say it normal. the bike came from the dealer with a akra and the power up and all the emission canister remove just wonder if there is something wrong or all the TE does it
 
Pop on decell is usually air leak in pipe especially with derestricted exhaust it's OK just happens.
On the gas pop is either lean misfire of electrical misfire.
Some try to jet it out but thats not necessarily the answer all it is doing is changing the mixture to where it doesn't light off. Some fuels will do it more than others also. Can seal the pipe all the slip connections with Hi Temp silicone but will go away after 1 or 2 rides so just go ride it you'll get useto it.

These things are tough to convey through the internet. Any chance on a video or audio recording? Any camera at all with a friend nearby could record, no fancy on-board camera would be needed.

Just an idea.

When is the last time the valves were adjusted?
 
never yet,the bike almost 500 km on it and it was popping since it was new and only been riding easy trail and road my first dirt bke so I go prety easy on it
