  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I had to do the IMS tank for range but I always hated the way it looked. I was going to buy the newer shrouds with the graphics built in then glue them on but I figured I would just rip them off.

I bought a graphics kit and plastic for my bike and just stuck the shroud graphics on the ims and I must say it looks all right.

Hope you'll excuse me for posting a non-Husqvarna bike photo. Well, sort of, I do have some parts off of Huskies in here. Forks out of TE610 '06 and front plastics from the awesome TE449. I've been lusting for the new TE range, but so far needing a true dual-sport, and having this Xchallenge in my garage, I thought to "husky-it-up" so to speak. Here's the finished product.

Again, the new TE449/511 range has been an inspiration!
If nothing else, think of this as a promo for the ISDE 2011 Finland (International Six Days Enduro)! :)

I like the decal on the fender! Where did you get that headlight?
The headlight is a Hella 90mm Bi-Halogen projector light, completely sealed from the factory. H7 as standard. Wrapped a cheapo flexible led-strip around it for a parking light.

I'm brand new to the Husky family and this forum -- here's my 2011 TE310, picked it up at the shop on Wed, this is a few hours later, with 66km on it, including about 10km of dirt.
