  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

photo.JPG Big thanks to Bob at CentralJerseyCycles, I finally got her home yesterday evening and putting on the run-in miles this afternoon. Now I understand. Instead of trying to avoid potholes, rough pavement etc. on my touring bikes, Im actually aiming for them now. Ill never look at those powerline access roads the same ever again LOL

Sweet Podium

T

+1 on that i had 3 of them orange things before this husky, they're good but this husky is a lot better! and plus you go to a SM trackday day its a sea of orange, boring really and same on the trails when i feel brave enough, same thing there.

Here's some shots of my new wide wheel (3.50 X 18) / Metzeler Enduro III Sahara 140X18. The hub is a Rad Eagle. This set-up gives the profile of the stock knobby but with a tire that works better on the street. A three in wheel would have been plenty wide.

Been on here for a while now thought I should upload some photos of my rig.

Did my knee a few years ago and sold my old Italian beast TM EN 300 as I never knew if it would be up to dirt biking again. Painfull to let it go had planned to hold onto it long term and buy myself a TE 310 and have a pair of Italian 300's

Found a banged up 09 510 for a bargain while I was recovering, couldnt help myself. Needed new forks and a few new parts and plastics.

Looking pretty good these days and going like a steam train. Knee has now fully recovered and I can ride it like I mean it.IMG_0281.jpgIMG_0283.jpg PICT0237.JPGPICT0239.JPG

Looks like plenty of oil on the air filter.
