  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

My first dirt bike for about 30 years, after doing a fair bit of time on a couple of Ducatis.:applause: This is rather different from the Yamahas of yesterday, a few YZ's, IT 250, IT 490. First bike the ol' SL125, then a Suz. TS400, DT175, YZs, then IT's. Onwards to an MHR900 Ducati, and 750F1. Survived... Now at 58 and on the tubby side of fat bastard, thought it time to get fit and back to offroad (with some onroad for old times sake:rolleyes:). I saw, I liked, I bought...Now I just have to re-learn the old skills, first ride, I felt just right at home. These things are a huge bunch of yeee-haaa... CheersIMG_0002.JPGIMG_0006.JPGIMG_0003.JPG

where did u get that bar end mirror? id like to get that and ditch the stockers!

Hi Aaron,, I was going to post a couple of pics of it, but went to my local bicycle shop from where I scored it a couple of months ago, to snap a pic of the packaging. All gone. He gave me his importers website, and then to the Distributors site...so here ya go..http://www.axiomgear.com/products/gear/mirrors/mirrors/fastflash-dlx-universal/
Cheap as chips. When I go on the trails, I take it off, so easy, and put it in a pocket. reverse procedure  for the 5 or so km ride home. Having it below the bars as in the picture, gives a clear rear view. Cheers.

My 06 WR250 this bike has served me well now for 4 years with no breakdowns, the odd puncture that is it. Have done well over 4000 miles on it.Picture taken a few weeks ago in East Devon, England.

I see that alle the Huskys 449 and 511 mounting aftermarket exhausts (akrapovic, arrow, fmf...) don't have the lambda sensor.
Is it compulsory or recommended to remove that sensor? Could it give problems with the aftermarket exhaust?
