  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got hit by a car yesterday while I was riding my te 510 09
It's not as beautiful as it used to be, but as long as I'm fine, I'm sure its possible to build it back up
Might become a thread after I get well again. 1174534_4929082284911_500515716_n.jpg

Damn that sucks man! Always a positive side tho. You are ok and now you can change up the bike a little different and keep it interesting.

Thinking of doing something spesial with the bike but dont know what... Open for ideas for the bike. I'm changeing the frame and the forks because those are bendt and the radiators are smashed, but the rear of the bike is fine, not a scratch.

Here is my new 4 stroke :D

1978

I had a yellow '77 milk crate TT 500. The tank alone fetched me a battery tender and a hundred dollar bill from a local shop owner. Probably could have held out for another hundred on flebay. I think Yamaha should have painted the '79 yellow to, with the sweet aluminum swingarm. Ebay that in parts for enough $ for a 110 anniversary Husky.

I really liked my Orange TT 500. I graded a short track here on the farm and had a lot of fun with the bike. They still have a great following and there is a bunch of aftermarket support.
