  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Post up pictures of your 4 stroke bikes!

Great weekend.

Congrats, Tmate.
If you have the time, it would be interesting to have your thoughts on the Husky vs. the Yamaha comparison.

Try this again.
Went to watch some racing

Left the races with this in the back of my truck.

250 or 310? I'm going to try to add a 250 to my stable. Need something for my son to ride. I might also trade the 511 for a 310 for myself.

Looks like there's some nice farkles on that bike??

Oh, and this post was a total tease, you need to tell the story. Is it typical for you to walk around with that much cash in your pocket?

Was going to buy this bike a while back but he decided not to sell(due to divorce). He called me Friday and said he has the bike with him at the races (he races as does his daughter) if I wanted to take a look at it if he has to sell at a later date. That's why I went to the races with cash in hand. At first he said he would sell but would have to get permission from his soon to be x-wife. I said guy's don't ask for permission first, we ask for forgiveness after. Well, I came home with the bike.
Came with lots of extras. 300 kit in box, jd tuner, lots of alum protection, extra set of new plastics, HDB hand guards not yet installed and some clip on buddy pegs.
