• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

No, that was the last race. I'll be getting the new one ready for the 2nd half of the season.

The Mrs. leaves son so I'll have a lot of free time this Summer....and Fall....and Winter....and Spring.

Last FTR HS of season at LCross in Okeechobee. Put the WXc350 on the line in the Pre-modern class. Got in 4 good test laps, fell down on lap 1, tweaking bars, shifter & foot. Ouch!!! Need suspension sorted out but bike runs nice, this thing really likes the whoops.

My first xc of the season. I missed the first race as I was still recovering from pneumonia. My breathing still wasn't 100%. It was my first race on the 165. Ended up 7th in Vet Ain a field of 16. There was a large section of motocross track on this race and I suck at mx. I still need more practice on the bike as this is a cr and last year I was on a wr and the power delivery is very different. I was talking to a guy after the race and he said "I was watching in the woods, holy shit can that bike accelerate!". He is right, this thing takes off like a scalded cat when it comes on the pipe!

Our club held it's first annual vet and founders day on the weekend. Team races, vet classes, vintage, and even a two stroke class. It was nice racing against some of the pro class riders, all of us on two stroke bikes. I actually got a good start for a change and was able to run with them.

This pic was in one of the team races (MX des nations style). I got a good start, but got caught up in a turn two crash, and was bowled over. Battled back from last in a 40 bike gate to 14th. Worse finish of the day, most fun race charging back. Our team won the team competition.
