• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Potential Buyer for 08' SM-610

Husqvarna
I am thinking of buying an SM-610 (08), with only 1700 miles. The bike looks clean too. I just wanted to know if there are any issues with this bike? Any extreme maintenance needed?

If the bike was taken care of, had the break-in done right, 600 mile service, etc... You should be fine. That's very low miles on an 08! Is the bike in stock form or is it w/ PU, slip on, mapping, etc..? How much is the owner asking? Look at the owners car, garage, home, yard, etc.. If they keep things nice, then mostlikely the kept the bike right. I would get/do a full service as soon as you take ownership. Fluids, filters, ect.. changed. Good luck!

These bikes have easy maintenance schedules. Most of us cut them in half to be safe. 1000 miles on oil is fine. If you do it less than 1k you can change filters every other time.

Okay thanks. I believe the 610 does not require the same maintenance with the valve adjust. as the 510 though. It is supposed to be a de-tuned motor for the street.
This bike just has a Leo Vince exhaust as far as I know. Very clean otherwise.

Looks good! The 610 motor is not de tuned, it's not the same as the 510. The 610 is very powerful and will need maintenance. It makes 50 HP and has a lot of tourqe! With the 510, 450, 310, etc...you need high rpm's to turn HP. The 610 turns max HP around 7500 8000 rpm's. Yes, the Maintiance is less than the smaller cc bikes, but still needs to be checked. It's not a KLR!

you'll love that power the 610 makes compared to your DRZ.... Don't get me wrong, the DRZ is a fine machine, but the Husky is the torque monster.
