• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Found this in old MXA mag. I only wish someone could repop some of the pc/uptite goodies from bitd.

It looks like this is shown upside down for detail? Two small holes mount to the flat or rectangular plate that bolts to the swingarm.

Any more pics. Anyone have one?

Looks nice. I like it.

Thought I'd show how the PC and oem '86 guide compare.

Wonder if my dead 87 430XC had been changed to the older style, its the same as my 82 thru 84's? I just ordered a complete chain guide for a Honda CRF450 and will fab a bracket to the swingarm. As for the wheel- skateboard shop! The rounded ends of the skateboard wheel actually helps keep the chain in the center. Old machinery with flat belt drive used that principle for belt alignment. Heh, I was in high school in 85, live in the sticks with nearest Husky shop 200 miles away, used what I had around.

That OEM one, I believe will only fit 85-87 basically the Box Ally Swinging Arm. There are two side rub plates missing from the one shown. That one is in good condition... I've seen a lot worse.

I have just ordered some nylon so I can make a set of side rub plates for mine.

Ok, that is it, i am going to the bank next week for a small business loan to buy my mill and Lathe.

Please submit your orders now so i can add it to my business plan.

Seriously HiDez? You should go for it if you're up to small runs but I can think of 1/2 doz parts that could easily be fabbed up: brake pedals (4+ versions), chain guide, rear brake torque arm....
