  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

radiator hoses

Just curious, if replacing the radiator hoses and Y is a must or has anyone not had any problems with busted hoses. I will eventually replace them but I just dont want to take the time right now.

Haven't done mine yet. 09 txc 250 the warmest I've been out in this fall has been about 25C/78F. Going to do it before the heat of summer next year.

motor gets hot whether its summer or winter ! mine was wrecked and melted inside and i changed mine in winter before it got hot weather... change it asap as its a cheap addition !

t or y

My coolant hose came off the plastic T on my 310 within two hours of the bike being new. I uesd the Y because it has better flow than a T does.

I have had no problems with mine, I did put in some engine ice. I am waiting for CV4 to make a new kit with an integrated "y". They have the prototype done, I am just waiting till I can buy it.

I immediately change all my bikes to Engine Ice with Water Wetter from day one and have never had a problem with the plastic T or the crossovers on any of my Huskys.

We did change the cross over hose before I brought it home. I will do the hoses soon, I just havent felt like wrenching lately. Im still so happy about the bike I just want to ride it instead of work on it.

That is SWEET****************************************************************************************************************************************************************!

I've been looking for a replacement for my plastic T.

I'm glad you posted that! I wouldn't have found that otherwise.

Thx man!

When do you suspect them to be done? Are you about 2010 applications? Thanks.
