• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thought you fellers might get a kick out of these videos... The Red Bull Romaniacs is one tough and entertaining to watch race.

Graham Jarvis wins the RedBull Romaniacs enduro... Gerhard Foster comes in 9 minutes later on a BMW for second place and Chris Birch takes the third podium spot finishing 13 minutes behind Foster.

Based on the previous Romaniacs videos I've seen I didn't realize navigation was so challenging in that event. As if the terrain and obstacles weren't challenge enough, lol.

Apparently very little of it is marked other than the start and finish... so if you can't think and ride at the same time, your in trouble.
Or... follow Gerhard Foster. :D

Maybe this should be on the Sherco Forum;) Riding on a tall metal roof in the rain looks pretty sketchy to me:eek: Cool stuff:thumbsup:

Sherco forum? Ha ha ha... there's a better chance of a TM forum.

Sherco sent me the e-mail on it, but I would have posted it regardless of what brand won... 'course, you knew that already. :D
I have to admit though, seeing a Sherco rider win a major enduro did bring a slight tear to my eye

There isn't much of it that wasn't sketchy... the teeter-totter, many of the up and down hills, stairs... when you see a pro rider in prime physical condition getting off their bike and walking it down a hill, you know it's got to be seriously sketchy.

The only thing I enjoy watching more the the Romaniacs is the pre 08 Dakar series, Damn there's such incredible talent displayed here. No matter how good you think you are, just watch these video's & realise you've got a long way to go.:notworthy::notworthy::applause::cheers:

Excellent stuff, Creeper!
Thanks so much for posting the videos.
A friend of mine from Austria goes to this enduro every year, and he says it's tougher than Erzburg. I dunno about you guys, but I'd have been crawling on my hands and knees on that wet metal roof

Its the fall that'll kill 'ya... a three story drop? :p

Imagine if you were a competitor, and didn't know this was "the finish"... and you had acrophobia induced vertigo.
