• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Review of my new TC-250

Husqvarna
A Class
I purchased a TC-250 last week-end. I set the clicker per MXA recommendations. The bike rocks on a MX track. I am a Vet and weigh 190 lbs, 210 with gear on and I think the suspension was spot on. Only increased rebound damping 2 clicks, Race sag is set at 105 MM, Static sag is 30 MM. I didn't have to touch the rear spring adjuster. I thought the forks worked fine. Gearing was fine. Only thing I don't like about the bike is the air box cover/side number plate. Pain to install correctly but that might be my personal issue.

I have the te version of that bike. Would love to try a tc. Probably rips. Nice bike.

Not that it matters but your hand guards look to be upside down

The side cover (airbox) was a pain for me too at first. It took me a little while to suss it out. I now start at the back and line up the slots, then slide it forward locking in the clip next then push the two pins into position. I also put a little grease on the nipple/pins, I think that helps, a friend with a Husaberg recommended I do it as he broke one of his.

We sold our first 2 of these right away I ordered a half dozen with no more in sight until August and magicaly we have some more on the way be here next week.I liked this bike so much I ordered one at dealer show for a demo here.

I own a 2012 ktm 250 sx and it a real mans bike in that it makes big power and very light. I revalved my suspension put a kreff powervalve adjuster and 11 ounce flywheel weight and mapping switch. Now bike is set up nice can be set up for any track condition or even use for tight off road riding. Adjusting powervalve and flywheel weight made bike almost like a 4 stroke for grabbing traction only a lot lighter.image.jpg

So the 11oz flywheel weight was just right for you? I've been contemplating getting one, but I'm not sold just yet.

This is another great use for this bike. Just take some mods to run in cold but pulls snowbike as well as 450 has to be ridden little harder and shifted a little more. Like a jet ski in a sand dune.image.jpg
